Rail Cargo Group - Shaping tomorrow's logistics

04.05.2017

LOGISTICS #MakesItHappen. Every two years the entire industry convenes at the leading international trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management in Munich. Around 2 000 exhibitors and over 55 000 visitors will come together between 9 and 12 May for active dialogue and to discuss ideas on innovations and developments in the international transport and logistics industry. As a regular exhibitor at transport logistic, the Rail Cargo Group has a stand in Hall B6.

International, customer-focused, innovative and environmentally friendly

Thanks to a dynamic stand design covering around 300 m², customers and partners can immerse themselves in the world of RCG freight transport.  We are setting new standards in logistics when it comes to the expertise of our 8 400 employees, our strong, attractive services across Europe and our technical innovations in rail freight transport.

The area bound by the North Sea, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea

And beyond. The Rail Cargo Group is a key player in international freight transport. Our customers and partners benefit from our excellent European network and rail connections to the most important ports and economic and industrial centres across the continent. Products from Rail Cargo Logistics and Rail Cargo Operator – such as the Antwerp Shuttle or our high-frequency long-haul connections – offer an attractive and reliable alternative to road and shipping transport.  Over the next few months, we will be launching yet more products and rail services. For example, we are currently working on expanding our intermodal connections to Turkey.

Looking towards the future by developing innovations

In order to keep their fingers on the pulse, Rail Cargo Group experts are constantly working to further develop our services and equipment. New locomotives and a modernised wagon fleet ensure we offer optimum transport options. When it comes to wagon equipment and transport or transshipment facilities, the RCG is working intensively on new possibilities. Some of these other current projects and collaborations will be presented at transport logistic.

Helping the environment

Every year we transport around 110 million tonnes of goods. Rail freight transport only produces (per tonne) approximately 7% of the CO2 emissions of a lorry. How much CO2 could we save during the transport logistic trade fair in Munich? Using the emissions meter at the RCG stand, we can see exactly how much CO2 can be saved by using Rail Cargo Group rail transport.
