First Silk Road train from Turkey to China

The first Rail Cargo Group train to China left the departure station Cerkezköy in Turkey on 04/12. It is currently travelling along the Silk Road to the arrival station at Xi’an in China.

The first Rail Cargo Group train from Turkey to China with a transit time of just 12 to 14 days has got underway. It set off on 04/12 from the Cerkezköy departure station and is making its way along the Silk Road to the Chinese economic hub of Xi’an. Since it concerns the first export train from Turkey to China, it will be given special handling by the federal railways in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan and China.

It passes by the Turkish railway stations Köseköy and Kars, the economic hub of Baku in Azerbaijan and the Kazakh harbour city of Aktau on the Caspian Sea as well as the Altynkol railway station on the Kazakh-Chinese border. The train is due to arrive in Xi’an in the next few days. The next train is already being loaded and is set to depart from Cerkezköy on 18/12.
