New Head of Business Unit Intermodal

As of July 2025, Rafi Papo has taken over the leadership of the Business Unit Intermodal at ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG). He succeeds Robert Galbavy, who previously headed the unit.

Rafi Papo brings extensive experience in the international logistics sector and will continue to drive the strategic development of RCG’s intermodal business – with a focus on terminals as well as continental and maritime connections across Europe and into Asia.

The Business Unit Intermodal combines road, rail and sea to deliver seamless and sustainable logistics solutions. Using containers, swap bodies or cranable trailers, RCG provides high-frequency TransFER connections between Europe’s key economic regions – and all the way to China.
