voestalpine Rohstoffbeschaffung, LogServ and RCG extend partnership

Logistics package of almost 30 million tonnes guarantees long-term security of supply.

Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has signed a new logistics agreement with voestalpine Rohstoffbeschaffung GmbH and Logistik Service GmbH (LogServ). The agreement guarantees the sustainable transport of around ten million tonnes of raw materials and finished products per year for a further three years. The contract was recently signed at the voestalpine site in Linz.

Supply security through innovative logistics solutions

The extension of the partnership underlines the importance of efficient and secure supply chains for the Linz and Leoben-Donawitz sites, says Christoph Grasl, RCG Board Member: “Our cooperation covers the transport of raw materials such as iron ore, HBI, coke, coal and scrap as well as high-quality steel products such as coils, heavy plates and sheets. We guarantee maximum security of supply and focus on efficient and sustainable logistics solutions that are precisely tailored to the needs of voestalpine – with a clear focus on CO₂ reduction and environmentally friendly transport by rail.”
