Closure between Kufstein and Rosenheim

According to information from DB InfraGO, around 1,000 sleepers must be replaced at short notice on the Kufstein–Rosenheim line. For this reason, the affected section will be operated on a single-track only between 13 March 2026, 10:00 p.m. and 23 March 2026, 04:00 a.m.

The ÖBB Rail Cargo Group team is working intensively to keep the impact on transports as low as possible and is continuously reviewing possible diversions as well as alternative solutions. However, delays cannot be fully avoided – particularly on the Brenner axis. Operational restrictions are also to be expected on the Salzburg–Kufstein corridor. Further information will be provided as soon as new details become available.
