More round trips between Villach and Treviso

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) is increasing the frequency of its service between Austria and northern Italy. With two round trips per week, the connection offers additional transport capacity for wagonload freight and containers.

In response to growing demand, RCG is doubling the frequency of its TransFER Villach–Treviso to two round trips per week from the end of September. The connection forms part of TransFER Villach–Italy. Villach South marshalling yard serves as a key hub for freight flows to Italy and onwards to South-Eastern Europe. Individual wagons and groups of wagons are consolidated there to form block trains.

Direct access to the Veneto economic region

Treviso provides attractive access to the highly industrialised Veneto region. Its proximity to producers, shippers and consignees, combined with good road and rail connections and short first and last mile distances, provides efficient links to key national and international transport routes towards Central and South-Eastern Europe.

Short transit times and comprehensive logistics solutions

The transit time between Villach and Treviso is just one day. Customers benefit from end-to-end logistics solutions, including first and last mile services, as well as the handling of conventional wagonload and container traffic. A range of additional freight forwarding services is also available. These include outdoor cargo handling, the distribution of goods such as timber, paper reels and palletised freight, as well as warehousing logistics.
