Restrictions at the Port of Koper

The current developments and increased security risks in the Middle East are also impacting global logistics flows, particularly international maritime transport.

According to Luka Koper, shipping lines have also announced restrictions in this context: ports located in conflict areas are no longer being called at, and as a result the acceptance of related cargo may be refused by shipping lines.

Therefore, we kindly ask Rail Cargo Group costumers, until further notice, not to send export cargo to the Port of Koper destined for countries with increased security risks unless acceptance by a shipping line or secured onward transport by sea has been confirmed. This will also help relieve the currently limited capacities at the port.
