Onset of winter causes restrictions

Due to the current weather situation, there are restrictions on our services in Austria and Germany. ÖBB is working with all available employees to resume scheduled train services as quickly as possible.

Current disruptions at a glance

Germany

  • Line interruption Kufstein–Munich until presumably 5.12.2023, 05:00 a.m. – no train traffic from Austria to Germany and vice versa until further notice (acceptance measure).
  • Freilassing–Munich route interruption until presumably 6.12.2023, 06:00 a.m. – no train traffic from Austria to Germany and vice versa until further notice (acceptance measure).
  • Simbach–Mühldorf route interruption – it is currently unclear when the interruption will end.

 

Austria

  • Freistadt–Summerau route interruption until presumably 4.12.2023, 06:00 p.m.
  • Gstatterboden–Admont route interruption until presumably 6.12.2023, 11:00 a.m.
  • Line interruption Selzthal–Nord-Frauenberg a.d. Enns until presumably 5.12.2023, 10:00 a.m.
  • Restriction (single-track) Judenburg–Thalheim-Pöls until presumably 5.12.2023, 06:00 p.m.
  • Restriction (single-track) Neumarkt–Friesach until presumably 4.12.2023, 23:59 p.m.
  • Restriction (track availability after winter service) Hörsching–Breitenschützing until presumably 4.12.2023, 12:00 a.m.
  • Restriction (track availability after winter service) Straßwalchen–Attnang-Puchheim until presumably 4.12.2023, 12:00 a.m.
  • Overhead line fault Spielfeld – no freight train traffic until presumably 4.12.2023, 01:00 p.m.
  • In addition, there are several disruptions to switches throughout Austria, but these restrictions are only of short duration.
