Total closure of the Brenner Pass in August

From 6 to 23 August, 2023, the cross-border railway connection at the Brenner Pass between Austria and Italy will be completely closed. The reason for this is extensive work in the railway tunnels. This measure affects both ÖBB passenger and freight traffic. The Rolling Road will be completely cancelled during this period, international freight traffic will be diverted via Villach–Tarvisio. 

Safety for people and goods is a top priority for us at Rail Cargo Group. That is why we are also making sure that our customers' goods reach their destination safe and sound during the upcoming Brenner closure. We are already in contact with our customers and partners and have agreed on a replacement concept for all scheduled transports.
