Transporting chairs for the Starnacht festival in Mörbisch

For hundreds of thousands of ORF 2 and MDR viewers, the Starnacht festival held on the lake stage in Mörbisch is one of the music highlights of the year. This year, ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) was once again responsible for transporting chairs, tables and much more for the music spectacle held on 3 June.

When pop and pop stars like Nik P., Vanessa Mai, Chris Steger and Song Contest winner Johnny Logan take to the stage, thousands of fans from all over the country flock to Mörbisch at Lake Neusiedl. Organising an event of this calibre requires long-term planning and smooth logistics, especially as the event approaches. For the latter, the Rail Cargo Group once again lent its expertise in cooperation with the furniture rental company Rotfuchs from Klagenfurt.

From bar stools to sun umbrellas

RCG logistics experts transported more than 500 bar stools, 200 tables, lounge furniture, armchairs, full bars and numerous sun umbrellas from Klagenfurt to the Wulkaprodersdorf freight station, picking them up again after the Starnacht festival. This was organised by the Baustoffe Sales Team in Villach.

Next stop: “Starnacht in Wachau”

RCG will also be taking care of the transport of the bar stools and chairs for the Starnacht festival in Rossatzbach in the Wachau region on 22 and 23 September 2023. This seating will be used in the VIP area as well as backstage and on the stage itself. The wagon from Klagenfurt will arrive at the freight station in Krems on the Danube less than a week before the event, leaving enough time to set up the music festival.
