2,000 MOBILER: a success story on rail and road

Since its introduction, the MOBILER has developed into a real game changer. It allows goods to be moved flexibly between rail and road – quickly, easily and sustainably. At the heart of the system is a hydraulic lifting device that enables transhipment between trucks and wagons without the need for a crane or connecting railway. Perfect conditions for multimodal transport. With 2,000 MOBILER containers in its fleet, RCG has reached another milestone in its success story. This success is mainly due to the outstanding teamwork of the entire RCG team, which makes innovative solutions possible day after day.

From pilot project to large-scale logistics

Special mention should also be made of partners who have been involved from the outset and believed in the MOBILER concept. Logistik Service GmbH (LogServ), a subsidiary of the steel and technology group voestalpine, was the first major customer to rely on the MOBILER for the transport of steel mill dust. What started small is now big: with transport a volume of up to 65,000 tonnes of steel mill dust per year, the company is a prime example of the successful and sustainable combination of rail and road.

Full speed ahead into the new year

The MOBILER range has grown steadily over the years. From multitainers to special bulk containers, it now covers a wide range of requirements. A number of projects are also being planned for the future: new prototypes such as the MOBILER silo and the Hammrocktainer are already in the starting blocks. Initial tests are planned for 2025, with the aim of bringing these innovations into production. These new developments will continue the success story of the MOBILER – as an indispensable bridge between rail and road, driving forward sustainable logistics solutions.
