It is one of the leading freight transport terminals in Hungary and has been the transshipment centre for unaccompanied combined transport units since 2003. The Rail Cargo Group operates four container terminals in Slovakia: in Bratislava, Košice, Ružomberok and Žilina. Slovakia occupies a prime geographical location in Europe, making it very important for European logistics.

They are important hubs for freight transport into East and Western Europe.
