Noise Bonus

The ÖBB-Infrastruktur rail network enables wagon owners to obtain a noise bonus for retrofitted rail freight wagons. This is a component of noise-dependent track-access charges according to Article 4 of the EU by-law 2015/426. The condition for receiving the noise bonus in Austria is that the wagon owner provides the ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG with information about the wagon in advance.
