Eurasia: cooperation steps up a gear

Successful meeting between ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) plus Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Express (KTZE) in Frankfurt.

Representatives from RCG and KTZ/KTZE, the Kazakh state railway company, recently met in Frankfurt to discuss the further expansion of our TransFER connections between Europe and Asia, particularly in the Middle Corridor of the New Silk Road, as well as our TransNET. This resulted in heightened cooperation, new targets being set and follow-up meetings being arranged for intensive discussions at operational level.

Expansion of TransNET on the Middle Corridor

Now there is nothing standing in the way of the TransNET expansion along the Middle Corridor. The Middle Corridor runs from China, through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia, over the Black Sea to the Romanian port of Constanța, before continuing to Central Europe.
