TransANT – Less Weight. More Freight.

TransANT was developed by us in collaboration with voestalpine Stahl. For the first time, topology optimisation was used in the design of freight wagons. Key design principles: weight optimisation, standardisation and modularisation during production and maintenance as well as the use of high-strength structural steels.

The TransANT freight wagon is based on a revolutionary and flexible platform concept. Thanks to the low tare weight of the TransANT platform and the load-optimised TransANT structure, more freight can be transported per load. This means that it not only meets the requirements of traditional wagons, but also sets new standards in railway logistics and a new standard for equipment in freight transport.

The TransANT consists of two components:

1. Standardised PLATFORM
The TransANT platform wagon is available in many different lengths from 33 to 70 feet. This means that many parts are identical for all variants. This enables adaptation to virtually any logistics requirements.

2. Modular BODY
TransANT’s modular bodies allow for optimal, flexible logistics solutions. They are easily interchangeable and available for various industry-specific solutions: open-top wagons, flat wagons for the timber industry, bulk goods wagons, intermodal wagons.
